After months of training and recruiting players we have started playing friendlies ready for the next season. Last weekend we celebrated a 5-1 win against Elvington which boosted confidence for the team. Kayla Agar got a well deserved hat trick closely followed by 2 brilliant goals from Anna Upfold, Goalkeeper Mollie Thompson certainly had her work cut out making great saves and especially from the two rebounds off a penalty. Scarborough Ladies U14s showed amazing character to hold York RI to 0-0 at half-time with only one sub available. Fitness and legs gave way in the second half to lose 5-0, but against the team that dominated the league last season this shows the improvement the team are achieving. After a disrupted couple of months with limited games and training, Scarborough Lionesses Under-15s kicked off the new year with a solid 1-0 home victory against Strensall Tigers. The decisive moment came courtesy of a superb long-range strike from Scarlett Coles, giving the hosts a deserved lead.
