Season Off and Running

Scarborough Ladies' new season kicked off this weekend with most of our teams in action.

Our Under 12s played their first ever competitive league game after 3 years of development fixtures. They got off to a cracking start with a 3-0 win over York RI thanks to goals by Abi Boyes (2) and Lucy Tighe and a great team performance.

The Under 13s start their season in the tough Northern Section of their league. They played well in a plucky 3-1 defeat to Middlesbrough side South Park.

Under 14s won their opening fixture 4-1 against Fulford with a hat-trick from Jess Hindle and a goal from Amber Colling and the Under 15s went one better to beat Wiggington 5-1 with goals from Daisy and Emma Willis, Beth Metcalfe (2) and Khyarna Foster.

Our Under 16s lost a tough opening fixture 6-0 to last year’s runners up Goole Town Tigers.

SLFC Under 18s embark on their second season in the Yorkshire Under 18 Girls League with the toughest possible start as they entertain reigning champions Farsley Celtic at the Flamingo Land Stadium this Saturday.
