Great Away Draw for the Under 15s

Scarborough Ladies Under 15s continued their fine start to the season with a competitive 1-1 draw against a very strong York RI side. In an end to end encounter, ‘Girl of the Game’ Erin Nicholson made a string of fine saves but was powerless to stop the hosts going ahead midway through the half. Scarborough continued to make the better chances though and their hard work was rewarded when Lydia Hanson flicked on a long throw and Khyarna Foster stole around the back of the defense to slot home the equaliser. The same player could have then then won the game for Scarborough, but saw her curling shot brilliantly saved by the York RI keeper.

When compared to the 7-0 defeat in the corresponding fixture last season the performance highlights just how far the team have come recently, and reinforces the belief they will be more than a match for any team this season.
