Giant poppy Owen ready for marathons challenge

Scarborough ladies u15s manager Owen Willis is to run this year's London and York marathons to raise money for the Royal British Legion and the SSAFA Armed Forces charity.

And he'll be completing the races dressed as a huge POPPY!

He said: "I'm taking part in the London and York marathons in 2018, dressed as a giant poppy, to commemorate 100 years since the end of The Great War and to raise money for both SSAFA and The Royal British Legion. Both charities provide valuable support to many of my clients at work, often providing additional funding to enable ex-service personnel and their families to carry out life changing adaptations to their homes.

"You can choose to donate to either, or both, of the charities by clicking on the links below. You'll see my fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help to smash this goal. Thank you for your support."
